24/03/2026: New Zealand Floodmap
The Ministry for the Environment has been working with local government to identify and collate existing datasets that can be used in New Zealand’s Flood Map.
The first map is expected to be published in early 2027, with early access to some data and mapping expected by the end of 2026.
A contractor is now on board to set up how local, regional, and national data are grought together
